Pallavi Ahluwalia

Born and raised in India, Pallavi Ahluwalia grew up in an Indian Air Force family that traveled throughout the country. She went on to attend Punjab University in Chandigarh, where she received a Master of Philosophy in English Literature. She received a number of merit scholarships throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies, obtaining Roll of Honor mention for academic excellence. Following receipt of her Master's degree, Pallavi Ahluwalia immigrated to the United States, where she earned her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Pallavi Ahluwalia has remained involved in the Dallas legal community since that time, focusing largely on maintaining the legal rights of the area's South Asian community.

Since 2002, Pallavi Ahluwalia has practiced as the owner of Ahluwalia Law Offices, a Dallas boutique firm focusing on immigration, family, corporate, and civil matters. She regularly represents employment-based immigration clients in the information technology and telecommunications industries, working with large and small organizations as well as individuals. She also counsels on family-based immigration matters, including naturalization and citizenship.

Pallavi Ahluwalia regularly contributes her legal expertise on a volunteer basis, working with a number of organizations in the Dallas/Forth Worth area, including Legal Aid, the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, and nonprofit domestic violence organization Chetna. She recently facilitated and participated in the first of a series of annual legal aid clinics held to benefit South Asian communities in Dallas/Fort Worth.

A top-rated attorney by legal and medical resourcing site Avvo, Pallavi Ahluwalia maintains active involvement in the Dallas Bar Association. She has served on the North American South Asian Bar Association's Executive Committee and was founding president of the association's Dallas division. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her three young sons.
