I think words are fun, whether I'm reading them, writing them, or editing someone else's. I've been a working journalist since my first internship on the copy desk at 18, and I've loved every single minute of it.
Although I grew up in Southern California, Washington, D.C., is home now. I am a freelance writer and editor, and am also getting my master's degree in journalism at Georgetown University. I came to D.C. for Georgetown, but, really, the move was a logical next step in a life defined by my obsession with politics and my passion for journalism.
Oh, and most of the time, you can find me with a cup of coffee in hand.
