In 1998, while talking with his friend Mr. Om Parkash over drinks, Pal conceived of a business idea to supply high quality medical and lab equipment. Apparently there was something of a dare involved. Pal began investigating the world market for medical glassware and lab testing equipment from scratch. He started a letter writing campaign to more than 40 countries indicated as potential suppliers. Initially, he received responses from only six trade missions and a couple of private manufacturers who had received referrals from their governments. But as time went on his network of suppliers and manufacturers grew. He educated himself as to import and export law, industrial manufacturing standards, and the particulars of operating a web-based commercial enterprise. He has, to date, traveled to 38 of the 40 plus countries in which he has developed business relationships; his travel has been a mixture of business and pleasure, as he has met with trade commissioners, factory owners and wholesalers. He is a reseller of Glass Syringes, micro syringes, scales & balances, gas filters, gas purifiers, microliter syringes, GC HPLC syringes, nylon valves, but has also provided custom equipment when requests have come for products that are not on the market. He does the design and specifications himself, and taps his manufacturing network to build prototypes for testing. If the products perform as needed they are mass-produced.
