Emily Palumbo

I am a graduating senior from the University of Connecticut pursuing a job in brand marketing or project management. Along with my Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, I am also completing a dual degree in music.

Previously I have held internships with Tower Group Insurance Company in New York City as well as Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Connecticut. With Tower, I gained exposure to acquisitions, project management, and corporate event planning. At Enterprise, I developed sales and customer service skills, and broke several records for top sales of protection package products in my area. I ended my internship as #8 employee in the entire region for these sales. I am looking for a position that will use the skills I have learned from these experiences.

Passion and hard work are the two driving forces behind my life. After spending years working with the director of UConn's 300+ member marching band and holding the positions of Section Leader, and then Band Captain, I have discovered that nothing in life can be completed without these two forces.

I am... a knitter, a second-degree black belt in karate, a flute player, a performer, a speaker of the Irish language (a wee bit), a homemade cook, a reading fanatic, an aspiring baker, a teacher at heart, and a person with limitless ideas.
