When I was a little girl I read the poem "The Road Not Taken." Like most who read it I thought the poet was referring to taking the road less traveled but as I grew older and learned the deeper meaning it's more about the choices we make and not make, each day and with every decision. I feel privileged to have lived my life with the choices I've made, which for some is hard to do. I've worked in corporate, non-profit, volunteered in China and Italy, traveled extensively before the age of 20 and each and every time thinking about this poem, which to me, means seize each day. Seize the opportunity and grow, challenge yourself, and learn something new.
