Pam Verhoeff

I have been teaching a combination of grades 7/8 humanities and options since the dawn of time (or at least for the past 9 years). During this time I've lucked into two amazing positions - one as an instructional coach where I got paid to work one-on-one with amazing teachers and their students to create engaging activities and authentic assessments. The second was prototyping curriculum redesign, which was by far the most challenging thing I've ever done. I worked with teachers all across Alberta and got to witness the best teaching practices across the province. I started a Learning Support teaching position at a brand new K-8 school, before heading off on mat leave. It was an entirely different level of challenge, working with small groups and individuals to help them find success at their own level.

I'm married to the sweetest, most innovative principal/bow hunter who teaches me a ton every day. I'm a hot yoga addict, would spend my life on a spin bike if my butt could handle it, and have been forced by our 2 Golden Retrievers to become a runner. We just had a baby girl named Bea, and she makes us laugh and amazes us daily! I love my friends, my family, my life, and I LOVE helping teachers find ways to develop or re-establish their passion for teaching!
