Prior to her son’s Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis when he was just 20-months old, Pamela had over 15 years of experience in hospital and clinic management where she held key healthcare positions as a consultant and clinic manager in Istanbul, Turkey and Dubai, UAE.

As she learned her way around the management of diabetes as a caretaker, it did not take long to understand the challenges and gaps that her son and other diabetics face daily.

She knew somehow things had to change. This need for change led her to leave her position in a well-known global company after nine years there.

Already an advocate and speaker at diabetic conferences, Pamela established Diapoint ME to build a stronger diabetic community in the Middle East, help patients find resources and education, and improve the quality of life for diabetics and others touched by this disease.
