I was designed to live no ordinary life. Growing up in a privileged comfortable society can only be fulfilling for so long, and the desire to want more kicks in. When the family you've been blessed with grow up and seek their own lives, the desire for more is most strongest. To be a change agent and not in a position to bring it, frustrates; when opportunity knocks to "be the change you want to see", it is hard to refuse. To see sorrow and devastation and want to be the change for that person, I believe once you have seen, you are responsible. All this therefore, is what has led me to now live in Rwanda, Africa ... being an agent of change in the lives of some 1200 students of a boarding school. It is a humbling experience to say the least, but one I would not want to change for anything. I love so much my own three daughters and their husbands; but to love in a parental way those without parents is immeasurable.
