Pamela Ferguson

Hi. I live in San Antonio, Texas, and work at DPT Laboratories, Ltd as a Senior Technical Writer. My job is interesting and challenges me to learn new things on an ongoing basis, which I like. I've been with DPT for thirteen years - the longest job I've ever had in my more-than-40 years of working. No other job has ever kept me engaged as long as this one has.

I have a BA in English Literature and love reading and writing. I returned to college late in life - at 45 - and obtained my degree in 1998. I'm a published poet and participate in two writing groups which meet on a monthly basis. Words are my passion - and that's why About.Me is so fascinating to me. About.Me recognizes the power of language - and helps me and others to use language and words to improve our relationships. Wow....

On the personal side, I am divorced and have two grown children and five grandchildren. They're all good people and I'm proud of them. I love to travel and have been to Europe four times - even lived in England for four months in 1998 for a semester abroad. The history is palpable in Europe and it's fascinating to walk into a church or down a street that is older than our country! I've been to many places in the US also. I'm an artist too - interested in pottery, painting, beading, wire, and glass. One day I hope to learn to do metal work.
