Pamela Cajilig

Pamela Cajilig is a design and business anthropologist, and communication strategist who works in corporate, non-profit, and academic sectors. Pamela is Co-Founder and Principal at Curiosity Design Research, a consultancy that helps organizations understand human experiences so that design can be used as a platform for inspiration, solutions, and social change. Her work in Curiosity largely involves research for social innovation projects and testing and applying research methods for design evaluation. Pamela's work in Curiosity intertwines with her involvement as advisor to non-profits related to maternal health (Roots of Health) and WeDpro (women's rights and empowerment). Prior to establishing Curiosity, Pamela acquired 13 years of experience as a brand and communication strategist. Her most recent engagement in brand strategy involved her role as Director of Strategic Planning at Movent, the Philippines' most comprehensive digital service agency. Pamela was also part of the Ogilvy Group for a decade, in which she developed communication strategies for both Fortune 500 and local companies. She has worked in Manila, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur in various consultancy and leadership capacities. Pamela holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication Research and Anthropology from the university of the Philippines. She has researched and published about the cultural contexts of marketing practice and economic life in the Philippines and Asia.
