My passions include research, advocacy and activism around the issues of poverty, the working poor in urban settings, and public housing policies as an answer to the affordable housing crisis in NYC and other urban centers. My questioning of social/upward mobility of the black working class, including black mobility at the intersection of racial, economic, and political inequality, informs my thinking, research and experiences. The impact of these issues and social constructs on Black Environments is what I read, learn, and write about.

Additionally, I love good conversation, movies, books, and walks in the park. From my perspective, there's nothing sexier than an intellectual black man or woman who sits comfortably in two worlds - and they know which ones!
