Pamela Leff
A licensed social worker (LMSW), Pamela Leff serves Central Queens Y in Forest Hills, New York, as Director of Adult and Senior Services. Her duties involve designing programs and coordinating major events for the hundreds of patrons who visit the Y each year. Since joining the organization in 2012, Pamela Leff has secured grant funding for an intergenerational music program and has helped build relationships between the Y and other groups in the area. Before accepting her present position, she served the Transitions Program, an initiative focusing on teenagers with special needs, at the Rebecca School in New York City.
In preparation for her community-oriented career, Pamela Leff attended the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, where she attained her master of social work. While there, she took a professional seminar called The Alzheimer's Client and the Healing Power of Music. Leff holds membership with the Metropolitan Chapter of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Workers as well as the National Association of Social Workers.
