Pamela Monroe

Pamela, a native of Hartford, Connecticut calls Brooklyn, New York her home.

The bright lights of New York City beckoned Pamela to pursue her true calling; to touch the hearts and minds of the masses via this thing called "theater" in an effort to remind society that we are all One. In Pamels's words, "theatre is simply life lived out loud with names changed to protect the identity of the innocent...and not so innocent."

Pamela's performance in Pearl's Gone Blue helped garner the 2011 NYC International Fringe Festival's 'Award of Excellence for Best Musical Production'.

The first quarter of 2014 has been off to a fantastic start! In January Pamela booked a co-star role on Netflix' Orange is the New Black! What's more exciting is that Pamela received direction from Oscar winner Jodie Foster! Fans will eagerly tune in to the first episode of season two on June 6th, the episode in which Pamela will appear as 'C.O. Gaines'.

You may recall that last year Pamela worked on the film Black Nativity directed by Kasi Lemmons. Pamela has now worked with two great directors who once acted together in the award winning film Silence of the Lambs! Mr. Anthony Hopkins, Pamela Monroe could be in your future!
