Award-winning photographer and songstress Pamela Ruby Russell lives near Boston She’s performed and recorded extensively with her original music bands, studied voice with Mark Baxter, as well as acting with Brad Gromelski and attended Keith Jarrett’s famed seminar "On Spontaneity." Honing her music skills, Pamela nurtured her other big love, while working with and learning from some of New England’s finest photographers as well as the NYC photographer, Myron Ehrenberg in the early 1970’s.
Now Vice Chair of her town’s Democratic Comm., years ago Ms. Ruby organized her college’s first anti-war rally while also hanging her first solo photo exhibit "As The River Flows, So Flows the Man," a four seasons exposé of paper mills and other polluters along the Hudson River.
Pamela rode an elephant in a Mexican circus; sang atop a pyramid at 12AM on a Mayan holy day; reads Tarot cards; even owned and managed a Provincetown restaurant in the ‘70’s. She travels this Earth with her camera and shows her fine art photography as portraits, CD/DVD covers and book jackets, while living her adventures and writing songs about it all.
