Pamella de Leon
Pam is the Startups Section Editor at Entrepreneur Middle East. She is a writer and journalist based in Dubai.
A graduate of the journalism and screen and sound production program from Murdoch University Dubai, where she received a Bachelor of Communication in Journalism scholarship. She co-founded MCC Media, the university's first media entity covering local events such as Dubai International Film Festival and Emirates Lit Fest through reviews and video interviews/stories, managed its blog and produced and co-hosted Tech Talk, a web show on useful apps. Her photo and film work has been recognized by The Sustainable Living Expo photography competition, MY Film Festival and twofour54's Arab Film Nation. She has worked in Oxford Business Group, ITP Publishing Group, Alchemy Films and Art In The City.
She writes about startups, entrepreneurship, design, tech, faith and culture, with previous work on youth employment, art, pop culture and TV/film. Besides written work, she also enjoy doing video profiles, photography, and reading and learning about various topics. Writing about people, places and issues that needs a voice, make sense of everything, and always seeking for a story.
