Pamoja Initiative
Pamoja Initiative was started by Florence Mulera, Scollah Kamusiime and Ben Ddungu. It is a community organization that serves the Ugandan-Canadian community in the Greater Toronto Area.
Pamoja Initiative is committed to creating an environment where the greater community can address challenges, and look for ways of working together to meet our needs, as well as explore various opportunities that Canada has to offer.Some of our projects include:
- Setting up a settlement centre to provide support services for new comers and families
- Educating and increasing the public's understanding and appreciation of African culture through the visual and performing arts
- Providing platform for coordinated community planning for social and economic development
