I am currenty a doctoral student of Computer Science at Virginia Tech, woking at the Center for Human-Computer Interaction. I like experimenting with new technologies mainly for learning purposes. I am currently researching the benefits of group collaboration and game-based learning in virtual environments for middle-school children. In the past, I have been working for a not-for-profit foundation in my home country, Greece, as an interactive systems designer, mainly developing interactive exhibits and installations of cultural content, showcased in the foundation's museum.

I love outdoor activities, travelling, photography, and basically anything that involves the company of good friends. I am a teamwork player and enjoy exchanging cultural experiences with people around the globe, and philosophical discussions with like-mided individuals... or not!
