Pankaj Bajaj Eldeco

Pankaj Bajaj is the Managing Director of both Eldeco Infrastructure and Properties Ltd. (EIPL) and Eldeco Housing and Industries Ltd. (EHIL). He has received several awards acknowledging his and Eldeco's contribution in the field of construction and housing. He is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad with over 20 years’ experience in construction and real estate development.

Pankaj Bajaj worked briefly in a Delhi based consulting firm – Feedback Ventures- after graduating from IIM Ahmedabad. He quit to join the family promoted Eldeco Housing & Industries Ltd. (EHIL), Lucknow in 1996. EHIL, a company listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange since 1985, was a small regional property developer jointly promoted by S.K. Garg and O.P. Bajaj – Pankaj Bajaj’s father. The flagship project of the company was the 200-acre Eldeco Udyan project on the Rae Bareilly road in Lucknow.

In 2000, Pankaj Bajaj moved back to Delhi and founded his own company Eldeco Infrastructure & Properties Ltd (EIPL), using the Eldeco brand under license. EIPL achieved immediate success with the launch of Eldeco Golf View Apartments and Eldeco Residency Greens in the then-nascent market of Greater Noida. This period subsequently became the subject matter of a Harvard Business School (HBS) case study “Eldeco: Playing in the Big League”. EIPL was able to leverage its success in Greater Noida by expanding to the other suburbs of Delhi in a string of successful projects. Eldeco Utopia in sector 93A Noida and Eldeco MansionZ in sector 48, Gurgaon were instrumental in creating two of the biggest suburban locations of Delhi – Noida expressway and Sohna Road.
