I am in the final year of my Master degree at the Faculty of Education, Beijing Normal University (BNU), which is the leading Education Institute in China. I am also the Teaching Assistant to Professor Liu Qiang, who oversees global partnerships at BNU. Additionally, I am an active member in the APEC Higher Education Research Center and am currently coordinating the academic matters for the upcoming International Conference on Credit Mutual Recognition among APEC countries.

I am in the top 20 percent of my class, with a GPA of 3.89 (0-5). During the past two years, I have audited several international lectures (in English), and I took the course internationalization of higher education designed for international graduate students. Besides I was the teaching assistant for some courses, such as Teaching and Learning in an Internationalized University taught by Professor Brian Denman from the University of New England; Academic Writing taught by Professor David Turner from the University of Glamorgan; and Research Innovation in Higher Education: Insight from Practice taught by Professor Yuzhuo Cai from the University of Tampere. I am also the principal teacher for the introductory (night) course in Education, taught at BNU.

This has afforded me a rich experience in teaching and research. More specifically, in the case of research, I was the principal investigator for two faculty-funded research projects: Research on the Quality Control System of Training of Qualified Personnel of BNU and The Study of Construction and Advancing Xue’er Residential College. Moreover, I was the only student representative in the 2nd Forum of Education of Modern Residential Colleges in 2015. Lastly, I am a key member in various national and international projects. Recently, as a result of my contribution, BNU’s research proposal on Credit Mutual Recognition has been approved by the APEC Secretariat (Research Project No. HRD 02 2016A).

Thanks to my previous experience, I have developed a strong research interest in the internationalization of higher education, cross-border education, quality assurance in higher education and educational finance. And I have already published 2 peer-reviewed Chinese articles in leading education-related journals.
