Pantho Rahaman

I'm mostly known as Pantho Rahaman. Though as per certificate & passport I’m; Mohammad Faridur Rahaman, and my nick is Pantho; which is quite big! So, as a television reporter I'd to choose "Pantho Rahaman" as my pen name.

I’m a journalist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Diplomacy and foreign affairs is my working areas. I’ve few other issues to follow; Environment and cultural and telecommunications. But once a time I used to be a sports reporter.

I'm a PANOS fellow.

So far, I’ve covered many mega events round the world. I can even share those with you!

I covered Doha Asian Games, Beijing summer Olympic Games, Delhi Commonwealth games, Bangladesh, India & Sri Lanka World cup cricket, Pakistan Asian cup cricket etc as a sports reporter.

I covered international climate conference COP 17 in Durban, South Africa.

In my journalism carrier I visited many countries like: China, Hong-Kong, Macao, India, UAE, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Nepal.
