Paolo Furia

I'm a (young?) student-engineer-worker-dreamer who has too many interests and too little time for all of them.

I'm from Caltanissetta, in the centre of Sicily, but now living in Catania (the city near mount Etna, by the way).

I hold a Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering and I'm currently making my thesis (in the Biorobotics field) to get a Master Degree in Automation Engineering and Control of Complex Systems at University of Catania.

During my studies I tried to do a lot of extra activities which made me learn, develop and improve myself, meet so many different and interesting people and gain a lot of experience.

I was part of the board of directors of the students' association AEGEE-Catania for 2 years, first as Erasmus Activities Responsible and then as President.

I’m founder and Chairman of EESTEC ‘Observer’ Catania, a local branch of EESTEC network (Electrical Engineering STudents’ European assoCiation).

During last years I worked as sales agent, search engine evaluator, promoter and many other jobs. Since 2012 I work in the field of customer satisfaction, customer experience measurement and market research.

I love books (and libraries), music and theatre. I'm interested in art and history. I love sea and nature in general, and I'm crazy for dogs. I like doing sports and at the moment I enjoy doing calisthenics, running (outside) and boxing.

Of course I like very much technology and engineering and in particular robotics, industrial automation and sometimes even programming.

There is much more to say but this biography is already too long and I don't want to bore you. So that's it. :)
