Paolo Jacinto Alvendia completed his undergraduate degree at Seton Hall University in the United States with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Management in 2003. He obtained his certificate in teaching at Philippine Normal University in 2009. Paolo is currently a candidate for a Master's Degree in Special Education (MASPED) from De La Salle University.
Teaching Interest and Experiences
Paolo's interest and involvement for teaching children began from doing volunteer work at Chosen Children Village in Silang, Cavite in 2000. He lived there for three months and taught basic daily living skills for children with disabilities. Paolo completed a practicum as a student-teacher for an elementary school at San Isidro Catholic School (SICS) in 2009 and another practicum for special education at Stepping Stone Learning and Therapy Centre in 2012. He has taught reading, writing, and mathematics to students from pre-school to high school at Tutoring Club from 2009 to 2012. Previous to working at Tutoring Club, he taught English to Koreans online and man-to-man of different levels at E-Lamp Education (2007), Power Language(2006), and Ildaeil-Edu, Inc.(2006). Paolo is now currently working as an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) Instructor at Jabez, International Education Center, Inc. He also does home tutorial services.
