Paolo Farah

Beyond his commitments in the U.S., Paolo Farah is also an Internationally Renowned Professor of Law at Beijing Foreign Studies University in China. Since 2006, he has directed the Summer Law Institute in China, a program enriching the professional development of legal practitioners worldwide.
Paolo has contributed to projects with the United Nations Development Program, the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and Commerce, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in his consultancy role.
Farah has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and several books. He also serves as editor-in-chief for major academic series with Routledge, Palgrave Macmillan, and Wolters Kluwer, focusing on globalization, law, and sustainable development.
His leadership extends to serving on the European Society of International Law board and chairing its Interest Group on International Environmental Law. He also holds prominent positions within the American Society of International Law and the American Branch of the International Law Association, focusing on business and human rights.
As the founder and president of gLAWcal — Global Law Initiatives for Sustainable Development, Paolo Davide Farah leads dialogues and research on sustainable development and global justice issues. Fluent in Italian, English, and French and conversant in Chinese, his linguistic skills complement his international engagements, facilitating collaboration and educational outreach across cultural boundaries.
