Gerard Newham
Sydney, Australia
I have worked in a number of industries over the years. I have worked variously as a micro and minicomputer operator, a policy officer and a teaching academic while undertaking my PhD, which unfortunately I did not complete. However, the experience of conducting documentary research and fieldwork was seminal.
I have diverse interests in the physical and social sciences. I read every day and try to learn at least one thing a day. This is a habit that my father, now deceased, encouraged me to adopt.
I am available for mentoring and advice on tertiary study, research and writing skills, critical thinking, and feedback on written work. Happy to work with individuals or, if preferred, with small groups.
