Valantis Papathanasiou

Valantis Papathanasiou holds a Master degree in Sociology from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Aix-Marseille Université. He is a Scientific Assistant in the National School of Public Health and in the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, teaching Sociology and Psychology. His main research interests include psychosocial aspects of health and illness, health promotion and disease prevention, gender and sexuality, focusing on AIDS epidemic. He is the author of the book “HIV/AIDS and Responsibility”, published by the Editions Universitaires Européennes.
