As a Deputy Attorney General with the California Attorney General’s Office, Parag Agrawal handled direct appeals and habeas petitions for the Appeals, Writs, and Trials section of the Criminal Division. He argued cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the California Courts of Appeal. Previously, Parag Agrawal served the City of Los Angeles as a volunteer Deputy City Attorney, where he prosecuted misdemeanor criminal cases.

After earning a JD from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, Mr. Agrawal began his career as a law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He worked for several months in the Organized Crime Division and Healthcare Fraud Unit. Subsequently, he briefly joined the general litigation group of Browne George Ross LLP, before moving to the Attorney General's Office.

Parag Agrawal currently serves as vice president of the National Asian Pacific Islander Prosecutors Association and as a board member for the San Diego chapter of the South Asian Bar Association. Among his philanthropic activities, he has volunteered with Meals on Wheels, the Rajasthani Association of North America, and the YWCA.
