Parahdyce Aziz
Parahdyce Aziz is a 15-year-old debut author and Washington, DC native. In June 2012, she received the gift of the Holy Spirit and developed a personal relationship with God. Soon after in September 2012, Parahdyce was diagnosed with epilepsy and started experiencing physical challenges which forced her to learn how to adapt to a different way of living. As a result, she gained the passion to help children that live with illnesses such as epilepsy, and hopes that sharing her own experiences will help others better cope with their challenges; knowing that God is watching over them.
She enjoys church, traveling, reading fiction books and hanging with friends. She also participates in a school group called MS2 Cares, which encourages students to continuously assist the community by way of soup kitchens and organizations that assist the homeless.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Asia is a fun, loving twelve year old who enjoys the exciting life she has with her family. The oldest of three sisters, she has a special relationship with her mom that she cherishes. One day during a family outing, her life suddenly changes.
Diagnosed with epilepsy, Asia has to learn how to live with a medical condition that she knows nothing about. Saddened and overwhelmed, Asia and her mom don’t know what lies ahead for them, but vow not to let the sickness defeat her. With her faith in God and the support of her family, Asia remains optimistic and her joy is restored!
