Paris Adams

Hi, my name is Paris Adams. I am a third year Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, majoring in History and Afrikaans, Senior and FET phases. In addition to my studies, I am a part-time test setter and marker and have gained knowledge of the importance of being fair, paying attention to detail and what a significant assessment can do to help the learning. Writing is one of my greatest interests outside of the university. I love to think about ideas and to get them into words, which is why I like writing poetry and sometimes articles on Substack. If I'm not writing, I'm reading, listening to music, cooking or baking. Anything that allows me to take my time and be creative. I know that I'm still developing as a future teacher, but I want to spark curiosity, make them realize they're not alone in the classroom, and make them understand that learning is more than just passing a test. My desire is to make an impact, one student at a time.
