Parker Earnest is a Montessori elementary teacher at Compass Montessori School - Jeffco Public School in Denver, Colorado. At the school, he’s been teaching the Montessori curriculum to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders since 2018, with a commitment to meeting students’ academic needs.

He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Fort Lewis College in 2013. Besides his undergraduate degree, Parker Earnest had several other outstanding achievements during his time at Fort Lewis College. He served as the student body president of the East Africa Service Project between 2011 and 2014, where he instilled an appreciation for the East African cultures.

Other achievements during his college life include certification in Conflict Resolution/Negotiation from the United States Institute of Peace in 2012 and a Peace & Conflict Studies Outstanding Student award in 2013.

In 2018, Parker received a Master of Art in Special Education from the Metropolitan University, Denver, Colorado. In August 2020, he enrolled at Montessori Education Center of the Rockies, Boulder, CO, for an AMS Montessori Licensure program. Here, he received accreditation to teach lower and upper elementary at any AMS credentialed school.

Parker Earnest has extensive experience, having worked with many institutions in different capacities in the education sector. He was a Corps Member between July 2014 and June 2015 after being accepted into the highly selective AmeriCorps program. He was tasked with increasing student attendance, promoting positive behaviors, and improving academic course performance at Manual High School in Denver, CO, a low-income school with 296 students.

Between August 2016 and June 2016, he worked as a paraprofessional in the same school, collaborating with teachers to create lessons for special education students. In July 2016, Parker Earnest joined Denver Center for International Studies at Montbello, Denver, CO, where he worked as a special education teacher until 2018.

In August 2018, he started working at Compass Montessori School as Farm School Guide & High School Guide. When not in the classroom, Parker Earnest enjoys rafting, golfing, hiking, and reading. He’s also a travel enthusiast and avid home cook.
