Parker Remy-Miller
Student, Sales Manager, and Director of Advanced Scouting in Massachusetts
I am currently a junior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the Isenberg School of Management pursuing a degree in Sport Management in the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management, with an expected graduation date in the fall of 2017.
For the past five years, I have made it my goal to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible in the sport industry. At UMass, I work in Media Relations for the UMass Athletic Department. During my time between work and classes I serve as the Director of Advanced Scouting for the New Bedford Bay Sox, a collegiate summer league baseball team that I am currently helping build a 2017 roster for. Also, I am currently heading the Market Research Program for Boxscore, a sports technology start-up company, where I am conducting market research on various sports throughout New England.
While I have gained experience in sports working at both the collegiate and professionally affiliated levels, I am eager to gain much more experience and knowledge in the sport industry, to reach my goal of working in baseball operations.
