Shannon Parker

I'm currently earning my BA in English, minor in Applied Communications Studies, at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. I hope to find a personally satisfying career doing editing, copy writing, or something in a web-related field.

I work hard and play hard, but I'm a pretty laid back person for the most part. I learned a long time ago that life is just too damn short to sweat the small stuff, and most everything is small stuff. At the same time, I can be very driven when I set my sights on something, doing whatever it takes to achieve my goals. This world is what you make of it for the most part, I believe, and so if you can find pleasure in all of the little moments like a hug from someone you love, whether you hugged them last a day ago or a year ago, then you're right on track.
