It's been a rocky year for me that's for sure. It basically started with the need for my prescriptions needing to be refilled. But was not able to do so because my former Dr. had moved. So I had to wait a month for an appointment to open up, thankfully at this time they extended my prescription until I could be seen.

This started a major course in my life. First of all my new primary care Dr. Debbie McGinn is wonderful. She has a wonderful bedside manner and listens to you through everything, answers your questions, and as a plus is funny. After we talked everything out, some warning bells were doing some ringing with both of us and she immediately made an appointment with an ob/gyn. This appointment has basically saved my life.

So what does that mean?

Well everything about that gynecological visit was a surprise to say the least. We had barely started talking and she was like..It looks like your scheduled for a sonogram and of course I had not idea that they had scheduled me for that. But I went along with because I had some weird stuff going on. Well during this sonogram the tech for one couldn't find my left ovary and then she was saying that the lining of my uterus was very thick. I knew that, that wasn't good because my previous gynecologist warned me of it. But she said that Dr. Elizabeth Barwick would talk to me about it.

Then for the second surprise. She took one look at the sonogram and immediately suggest that I do a uterine biopsy. This in itself was scary because everyone knows what a biopsy is for. But I of course agreed to do it, because if she's worried, I should be worried. For those of you who haven't had this done, i'll just say it's unpleasant but quick.

A couple of days later I get an email saying that I had results back. But when I go to the website to see my results..It just said the test was complete, but no results. I of course immediately called Dr. Barwick who at the time was busy with another patient. Then it was a phone tag scenario. She tried to call me back that evening and missed me, but she didn't leave a voice mail. Which I thought was kind of odd. So the following day it was a case of phone tag again. Needless to say she finally got a hold of her

"How soon can you see me Amalya" is what she asked... Then "Can you get off of work I need to speak to you"..

I knew imm
