Parnika Sharma
Student, Social Media Manager, and Volunteer in Ontario, Canada
Hi there! My name is Parnika Sharma and I am currently a student studying Psychology and Sociology at the University of Western Ontario. I started my studies at Western in the Medical Sciences Program with Scholars Electives and as a recipient of the President's Entrance National Scholarship, before deciding to narrow my focus by studying Psychology with a Double major in Sociology. With a passion for STEM fields and business, I aspire to merge these two interests while pursuing a career in the fields of business administration, marketing and health care policy.
As a graduate of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, I have come to recognize the value and importance of a well-rounded education and being involved with initiatives that are close to me. Some of my personal interests are marketing and communications, health care and aging, women’s rights as well as policy law and advocacy.
Regarding my skillset, I am very organized, an excellent communicator and public speaker, determined and hardworking. During my time at Western, I have held 3 Vice President of Marketing/Communications positions for school clubs, the Western Marketing Association, the Ivey ACE Business Conference – in collaboration with the Richard Ivey School of Business, and the Western South Asian Dance Team.
I strive to become a member of my community who can have a meaningful and positive impact on our local and global community and am always looking for new opportunities to get involved in! Currently seeking summer student opportunities!
