Parris Bowens

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA to Parris and Valerie Bowens, Parris learned how difficult it was growing up in the hood even with two parents, especially pastors. He is the eldest of five kids and came from a very musical household.

Early on Parris began drawing and singing. Playing the keys is something that came a little later and it became his ticket out of the hood. After attending the Creative and Performing Arts high school, he was discovered by gospel artist Tye Tribbett and it was there his career launched. Parris helped established the band with Tribbett named Soundcheck along with his fellow bandmembers. Tye Tribbett became a hit in music and the doors began opening. For over 10 years, Parris traveled the globe with the group recording 4 albums (Concepts & Ideas, Life, Victory and Standout).

Parris has been blessed to work with many artists and producers throughout his professional career such as Israel & New Breed, Aaron Lindsey, Floetry, Vivian Green, Musiq Soulchild, Marvin Sapp, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Brandy, Kierra Sheard, and Janet Jackson to name a few.

One of the things that is valued by Parris mostly is God and family. He is married to his wife Dionne for over 8 years and together they have two beautiful boys. Now Parris is launching his own ventures and businesses. He currently owns his own coffee distribution company along with an innovative entertainment company. He also travels and does motivational speaking and clinics and seminars.
