Jonathan Parrish

I am a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Alberta, where I have been since 2007. My primary background is in structural biology and biochemistry, I also prepare biochemical and molecular illustrations and art for textbooks and scientific education. I spend most of my days teaching and developing the undergraduate program in biochemistry at the University of Alberta.

Prior to my current faculty appointment, I worked at the Alberta Synchrotron Institute as the Science Project Leader, and I collected X-ray crystallography data for crystallographers at the Universities of Alberta, Calgary and Lethbridge.

I am also an avid cyclist and stamp collector.
