Graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University (B. Mus. Ed.) and Marshall University (M.A. Mus. Ed.) Current Instructional Technology PhD candidate at Ohio University. -Lifelong musician with 13 years of experience as an educator -I enjoy the camaraderie of working as a team as well as the challenge and success of working independently - my career has demanded both -My focus is shifting to online education as a way to reach more learners and remain relevant -STEM and STEAM education doesn't have to be a challenge for teachers or learners - the Ohio Valley Museum of Discovery is dedicated to exploration and discovery of our world through both science and the arts! Previous endeavors include 6 years as Music Recruiting Coordinator and 5 years teaching as an adjunct at Marshall University conducting the symphonic band and assisting with a 300 member marching band. I have taught grade school and high school music: band, choir, and orchestra. Despite my attraction to all things tech, I enjoy outdoorsy things like hiking, camping, and horseback riding.
