For the last four years I was member of JADE (European Confederation of Junior Enterprises). JADE is a non-profit international umbrella organization of enterprises established and managed exclusively by students and is currently composed of 12 Confederations and 2 Consultative Members from Europe.
From 2012 to 2013 I was the President of JADE Romania, the Romanian confederation of JADE Europe. My time there contributed significantly to my personal and professional development. I honed my ability to network and knowledge exchange. The experience greatly enriched my life.
As a next action on my path I helped found the Sustainable Diplomacy Project. We are an organization of multidisciplinary change-makers and Work and Travel alumni from around the world. We promote and facilitate multi-cultural collaboration between participants of the Work and Travel program to encourage deeper connections to each other and to the American community. How: by teaching Work and Travel participants how to collaborate across the globe using open source tools and technologies and inspiring them to use that knowledge to form multi-cultural projects together and with the American community.
As a first action to reach those goals we are organizing an event in Bucharest, 16th - 18th of May, The Work and Travel Sustainable Diplomacy Summit. Collaboration is the main focus of the event. We will provide the bulk of time for brainstorming ideas, choosing an idea to pursue and developing that idea. A limited time will be spent listening to speakers who will provide instructions on idea development and provide inspiration to stimulate creativity. The best and fesiable ideas will be rewarded.
We are looking for entrepreneurs, creative people who understand the importance of the cultural exchange and collaboration and would be interested to join the event as a mentor. The mentor role is to give valuable inputs, feedback, to help the college students to generate cultural exchange initiative. Please send me a message if you are interested!
