Pastora Giovanna Sorensen Miyaoka

I was born in Madrid and grew up in a musical and theatrical environment. I studied music in the Conservatories of Madrid and Salamanca. I went on to study at ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Arnhem, The Netherlands. I studied creative movement with Marta Schinca and voice lessons with Beatriz Peña at the Estudio Schinca.

I currently teach music in Oegsgeest and surrounding areas. I am a multi-instrumentalist and teach instruments ranging from piano, clarinet, saxophone and singing to children and adults.

Inspired by educators such as Beatriz Peña Saiz, Marta Schinca, Shinichi Suzuki, Carl Orff and Sir Ken Robinson, my belief is that music has the ability to tap into the potential of each individual in order to find their element, whilst creating well-being.
