Pastor Calvin Williams Jr. Biography

Pastor Calvin Williams started his walk with the Lord in Philadelphia, PA in the fall of 1999. Early on, he caught the heart of his pastor. Lovingly called “Maximus” (from the movie Gladiator), he began to serve in several capacities: Director of the Armorbearer Team, Operation Destiny Campaign Director, Men’s Ministry Coordinator and Membership Services Director. He stayed faithful in each endeavor until God revealed the next assignment.
In 2009, Pastor Calvin heard the voice of God and was instructed to Teach, Lead and Give Understanding to His people. At that time, he was given the vision for New Beginnings Christian Center (now New Beginnings Ministries International). This was the birthing period for the ministry. Taking a leap of faith, with only $35 between him and his wife, he went to the Best Western Hotel in Smyrna and rented space for the first meeting. The rest, as they say, is history (or HIS-story).
New Beginnings Ministries is a thriving ministry in the heart of Townsend, DE; where the Word of God is taught with simplicity and understanding. This is a testament to what God can do when you put your life in His hands. From being raised on the rough streets of Philadelphia, to serving in the United States Marine Corp, to now serving as the Senior Pastor of New Beginnings. To God be the Glory for the things he has done.

Pastor Calvin and his wife have two beautiful daughters who also serve in ministry. (Khaleah & Kyra)
