Pastor Rob McCoy

Since March of 2001, Pastor Rob McCoy has led services at Calvary Chapel of Thousand Oaks in Newbury Park, California. In addition to his preaching duties, he provides teaching services and visitations. As a pastor, he brings many years of experience with Biblical principles to the table. He studied at the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary in Fresno, becoming ordained in 1995. Since then, Pastor Rob McCoy has served in several religious positions, including four years as the chaplain of Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
In addition to his work in Christian spirituality, Mr. McCoy has also developed an interest in grassroots politics and activism. He has met with elected officials including former president Ronald Reagan, and he is a strong believer in the importance of local politics. He comes from a family with a strong tradition in these fields, with parents who were active in the military as well as in political activism efforts.
