Pat Fleming
I am Pat and I'm married to Pat. It makes it handy for endorsing checks. Answering the phone? Not so much. The calls go like this. "Can I speak to Pat?" "My husband and I are both named Pat. Do you know which one you want?" "I want the artist, so that must be you, right?" "Um, no. That would be he Pat." Why do most people think artists are women?
Pat was my high school sweetheart and we've been married 45 years. We consider ourselves the luckiest and most blessed people we know.
We are also a good example of opposites attracting - - He Who Is Right Brained and Me of the Left. But I am slowly realizing that I too am creative. I started taking photographs to be able to spend more time with him at art shows. My left brain leanings show up in my photos though with lots of lines and shadows.
I also enjoy gardening. We live in a desert area of eastern Washington state. We are lucky to have the Columbia River flowing through our area and therefore we have irrigation. But I still like to plant drought resistant plants and use a drip system.
I'm an avid reader and prefer crime books. This comes from working 26 years in a prosecutor's office. I probably will never get chosen for a criminal jury.
I also enjoy cooking and baking and wish I had more people to eat it because Pat and I shouldn't.
I don't really expect anyone to read my blog and was amazed to get a follower (Hi, Patrick L - - nice name). I just enjoy writing and if you enjoy reading what I offer, I'm twice blessed. - Pat-
