I am passionate about many things.... my faith in God, knitting, eating healthy, physical fitness, homeschooling my three unique and amazing children, and my marriage to a pretty neat guy.

Recently I've become very passionate about staying WARM.

My children will tell you that I hate (I mean, REALLY hate) to be cold! They will ask me if I would like to drink coffee while knitting in a hot tub that is by a fireplace in the South of France! We haven't quite figured out how one would knit while in a hot tub. If it was possible, it would be really WARM, right?

I began Pate and Birdie as a way to express my creativity through my love of knitting AND to create WARM accessories to keep me (and you) WARM.

The name 'Pate and Birdie'? They are my great grandparents' names that I recently discovered through searching my family's geneaology. I don't know anything about them other than their names, but I think they are some pretty great names.

I like to imagine me meeting them in Heaven someday...drinking coffee and knitting together in a hot tub by a fireplace.....
