"And 1!!!" My favorite pastime ever since I could remember was playing basketball. Whenever I am in a class and it asks for my favorite hobby, it will always be the same answer: Basketball.

Even throughout high school, anytime I finished my homework early, I always hit up my friends to tell them to come to the park with me. I considered joining my school's basketball team, but I decided not to because it was already too big of a time commitment, especially since I have to focus on school work and clubs. Eventually, I even started our recreational team at our local park with some of my friends that I met while playing basketball. We started my junior year of high school. In my first season of recreational basketball, we played very diverse teams. On one hand, we played with some middle aged men, where we won by nearly forty. However, on the other hand, we played a bunch of former high school players, and it did not turn out pretty (We lost by nearly 30). Unfortunately, we did not make the playoffs because we ended with a record of 4-4.

During our second season, after a season under our belt, we got better. I wanted more people to watch us, so I decided to invite a lot of school friends. I even got one of my friends to be the team photographer (That is how I got the picture above). Even after the recreational basketball season was over, I started to take another aspect of the game into play. I started to coach kids' recreational basketball, even though I was not the best coach (We did not win a lot), it was still a great experience to have.

Even after I graduated high school, I was looking at the University of Georgia website to see if they have a recreational sports program (Thankfully, they do). I plan on playing basketball in the University of Georgia's intermural/recreational league. Even with college starting, people are telling me that my major (accounting) is very difficult. I will always make time to fit in a game of basketball.
