Nitya Patel

I am currently interning at a Startup called FocusFeed as a User Experience / Product Manager . It is a fast-paced, innovative environment where I am heading the in-house team’s vision of our product and effectively conveying it to the outsourced development team with the help of clear and effective wire-frames and mock-ups. I am also managing and updating the FocusFeed Website as we grow and evolve in lieu of additional features and enhancement of existing ones.

Before that, I wrapped up my Summer internship at Confluence, which is an asset management company, as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern in an Agile Development Environment. Coming out of this internship experience I have gained hands-on experience in testing activities from Functional, Smoke, User Interface, and Penetration Testing to Automating tests using the Selenium WebDriver Api.

I am also entering my graduating semester this Fall of 2015 at University of Pittsburgh, where I am doing my Masters of Science in Information Science . In addition to finishing application projects in teams, spanning Database Management to Web Technology to E-Business, I have taken up courses such as Software Engineering, Algorithm Design, Web technologies, Social Computing, E-Business and Information System Design which has broaden my skill scope more than ever.

At this point in my career, with an exceptional academic track record (GPA: 3.8) and a solid work experience backing me up, I am ready to leverage my education and work experience in the real IT corporate world.
