Patrice Reneé Harris

Patrice Harris was born on February 11th 1993. Leadership and excellence have become a part of Patrice’s reputation. Harris’ leadership journey began escalating at 17 after she graduated from high school. Prior to that she was charged with the opportunity to lead afterschool groups such as the Teen Challenge Club, Junior Achievement Club and the Young Leaders Club. One of the highlights in Ms Harris’ tenure at Basseterre High School was the co-ordination of the school’s first Fifth Form Boy’s Choir. The choir made its Debut Performance at the School’s Independence Program in 2008, Speech Day 2008 and Graduation in 2009.
Ms Harris been successful in all academic endeavours until even until now while she completes her first degree. In 2009 Harris received 3rd best results at her high school and placed in the top 15 in the federation. In 2009 also Ms Harris was awarded LIME’s Young Humanitarian award for spending an active summer of community service and youth development. Harris’ success continued at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College where she completed an associate’s degree in Humanities and graduated summa cum laude. Harris was also awarded The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant Award for Excellence in Academic Performance, Extra Curricular Activities and Exemplary Conduct Award. Harris was an Academic Excellence Award recipient and was awarded the St Kitts Nevis Trades and Labour Union Youth Academic Award in 2009. Harris is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and English at the University of the Virgin Islands and has been awarded a position on the Dean’s list for the past three semesters.
Harris been involved in many youth organisations such as the St Kitts National Youth Parliament Association, Basseterre High School Young Leaders Club, Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College Literary and Debating society, UVI Substance Abuse and HIV AIDS Prevention program, UVI S Kitts Nevis Association and UVI Student Government Association. Harris is also a youth partner to the Ministry of Youth empowerment St Kitts Nevis and volunteers at the St Christopher Children’s home and the annual Residential Summer Camp. During her tenure as CARICOM youth ambassador Harris travelled to Russia, Brazil, Paris, London, Washington D C, and New York. In 2012, Harris hosted iLead Youth Jab, a youth leadership workshop for forty young persons in her community, sharing best practices from international conferences she attended.
