Motivated, personable professional dedicated and willing to learning and improving design skills at all levels of the design process. My career goals include obtaining an intern architect position at an organization where I can develop innovative ideas for accomplishing design projects and master design techniques, while gaining vital experiences in a professional work setting. This will prepare me to sit for architectural licensure. After licensure, I hope to work as a registered architect, designing residential and commercial buildings, focusing on arts related designs, such as, theaters, museums, and concert halls.

I am a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where I received my Masters in Architecture in 2012. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Florida. My research at Georgia Tech investigated green and sustainable initiatives in architectural design, as I hope to utilize these techniques to generate energy efficiency, promote agricultural awareness, and foster positive ecological responses at low cost to the environment. I am now working to become a licensed architect and personal interests include photography, contemporary dance, and writing.

At Georgia Tech, I was involved in campus organizations including leadership roles as I was the 2011-2012 Black Graduate Student Association Vice-President, the Senator for the College of Architecture in the Graduate Student Government, Writer and Co-Editor of gray_matter(s) (the College of Architecture Blog), and member of the American Institute of Architect Students (AIAS). After graduation, I held an Architectural Researcher position where I focused on the functionality of interior spaces by researching building use and spatial relationships in educational facilities. In addition, I worked with the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) at Georgia Tech in an initiative to introduce minorities to STEM fields by teaching building design, robotics, and mentoring high school students and guiding them through their college planning. This led to a position at Charles R. Drew Charter School, where I am assistant teacher assisting in the exposure of engineering and technology fields at the elementary level.
