I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Ever since I was a little girl, I was inspired by my amazing grandfather, who was an artist. I grew up “playing artist”, and then I went to art school in Caracas: Escuela de Artes Plasticas Christobal Rojas. I moved to the United States 28 years ago and got married. My whole life has been based on art and family. I see beauty and potential in everything around me: potential to create. I have an amazing supportive husband and 5 extraordinary kids. Art has been the biggest blessing in my life. I have experience with almost all types of media: clay, paint, glass...basically anything I can create with. The media that I connect the most with and literally become one with, is clay. The feeling of earth brings me back to my roots, those roots that are us, humankind, in the most raw form of humanity and the purest form to connect with the spirit. My art has always deeply connected with my spirit. It centers me through expression. It’s a process that the media and I go through at the same time.
