Patrícia Rocha

Hi! I’m Patrícia. I’m an Biological Enginnering living in Lisbon, Portugal. I chose Instituto Superior Técnico as my University, due to its high teaching prestige in Portugal, and I chose Biological Engineering as my course because I believed it would give me the best foundations for scientific research and, consequently, realize my dream of pursuing cancer research.

My purpose for joining the field of Bioengineering was to acquire new knowledge in such a relevant area nowadays, since Bioengineering is the core of the Life Sciences, bridging the gap between Biology, Engineering, and Medicine.

I yearn to learn, discover, and mainly, to contribute the research of solutions; I believe that scientific research and all activities of technological development associated with it are the strength and driving force behind the development of society and, as such, I would like to have the opportunity to contribute and, if possible, make a difference (positive) in Humanity.

I am a fan of running, movies and travel. I also love reading and writing
