Patricia Caruana
Designer and Artist in New Jersey
Hi, I’m Patricia Caruana—a Graphic Designer, Visual Storyteller, and Brand Strategist based in New Jersey. I’ve been in the design world for over 12 years, and my passion lies in helping brands communicate with clarity, intention, and impact. I founded my studio, Caruana Creative, to create space for more thoughtful, inclusive design—where every project is grounded in purpose and every decision is backed by strategy.
My background is rooted in both traditional design principles and modern digital fluency. I studied Graphic Design at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where I fell in love with typography, minimalist composition, and the power of visual systems. My senior thesis actually focused on accessible public transportation signage—an early sign that inclusivity and user experience would become core values in my work.
I’ve worked with agencies, startups, nonprofits, and everything in between. Whether I’m designing a brand identity, a packaging system, or a mobile interface, I always approach the challenge as a creative puzzle—one that requires empathy, collaboration, and a clear narrative.
Outside of design, you’ll probably find me with a camera exploring Maryland’s Eastern Shore, experimenting with printmaking, or diving into a good book on design history. Oh—and my rescue greyhound, Matisse, is never far from my feet during client calls.
Ultimately, I believe great design isn’t just about how things look. It’s about how they work, who they serve, and the stories they tell. That belief shapes everything I do.
