Patricia Franklin's design and implementation of innovative learning and development programs have made an impact in organizations around the world through her work as Program Director for The Economist's online Economist Education series and as Chief Learning Officer for Vistage International.

As Director of Learning & Development for Blue Sky Broadcast, Patricia succeeds in marketing learning solutions, as she’s done throughout her career. This has led to her creating sales training programs and leading business development and marketing initiatives for new product lines. Customers have included private and public sector organizations specializing in financial services, technology, higher education and healthcare.

Attendees of Patricia's programs have increased their books of business by 235%, while her strategic design approach has led to a 300% increase in corporate growth rate. Her work earned Training Magazine’s Top 125 Winner award for achieving global excellence in corporate-sponsored education.

Patricia is passionate about improving performance through creative learning & development and she uses her skills as a writer, director and producer to bring learning to life. Her recent project, The Art of Leadership became the basis of a global executive conference in Italy in which she designed programs that drew the correlation between modern-day leadership competencies and the lives of Italian Renaissance masters. For Economist Education, she designed and developed a business simulation on managing cross-border teams.

This design work leveraged her earlier invention of a new way of learning on the Web that integrates online business simulations with multi-tiered mentoring and collaboration. Her pioneering eLearning productions with game developers and instructional designers contributed to the Serious Games genre.

She has written for the Los Angeles Times, Newsweek and The Economist and she became an internationally published author which, in turn, led to her being a producer and director with the BBC and International Video Network.
